About All Blog Article
All Blog Article publishes plain-English guides to the parts of American health care that cost people money when they get them wrong: choosing a health plan, keeping coverage between jobs, reading a medical bill, using an HSA or FSA, and appealing a denied claim.
Who the guides are for
People choosing or changing a plan on HealthCare.gov or a state marketplace, employees picking benefits during open enrollment, freelancers and early retirees buying their own coverage, and anyone holding a bill or a denial letter they do not understand. We write for the reader who wants the answer and the reasoning behind it, without the jargon.
How we work
- Every figure, date and rule is checked against an official source, such as HealthCare.gov, CMS, Medicare.gov, the IRS or the Department of Labor, and those sources are listed at the end of each article.
- Each figure is tied to the year it applies to. Health-plan limits change every year, and a number without its year is how readers get caught out.
- Every article shows when it was last reviewed. When the rules change, we update the article rather than publish a new one beside it.
Our editorial policy explains the process in full.
What we are not
We are not an insurance company, broker or agent, and we do not sell insurance. We are not affiliated with HealthCare.gov, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Medicare or any government agency. Our guides are general information, not advice about your own situation. See our disclaimer.
Offers and links
All Blog Article also shares offers. Some of our links take you directly to a partner's page so you can claim an offer without hunting for it. Those links go to the same place for everybody. If a link you followed did not work, it has most likely expired: offers are time-limited and we retire them when they end.
How the site is paid for
The site is supported by advertising served by Google. Advertisers do not choose our topics, see our articles before they are published, or influence what we write.
